I Юрика Город на северо-западе штата Калифорния, порт на берегу залива Гумбольдта Humboldt Bay. 26,1 тыс. жителей (2000). Самый большой город к северу от Сакраменто Sacramento. Торгово-транспортный и промышленный центр. Деревообработка. Рыболовство. Основан в 1850 как военный форт Гумбольдта Fort Humboldt, где служил У. Грант Grant, Ulysses S.. Вскоре превратился в один из центров деятельности "лесопромышленных баронов" lumber baron, викторианские особняки которых сохранились в историческом центре.
